A foreign corporation seeking to do business in the Philippines must obtain the proper license and register the appropriate business entity with the ]Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).  There are three general types of corporate vehicles that a foreign corporation can use to register with the SEC and by which a business entity can be authorized to transact business in the Philippines.  These are: (i) representative office; (ii) branch office (of a foreign company); and (iii) stock corporation.
