Our principal team is composed of Philippine trademark, patent and data protection attorneys with a combined experience of more than 60 years in the practice of law and previous leadership and specialist roles in a US-based international law firm.

We have extensive experience in the registration and enforcement of intellectual property rights, the preparation and implementation of technology contracts, and the management of data privacy and security incidents.

Our firm regularly participates in the activities of the International Trademark Association, MARQUES, Asian Patent Attorneys Association, Pharmaceutical Trademarks Group, AIPPI, and the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

WELL-KNOWN MARKS
REGISTRATION

The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) issued Memorandum Circular No. 2025-009, effective April 28, 2025, establishing the Rules and Regulations for the Declaration and Creation of the Register of Well-Known Marks. Under these guidelines, brand owners can now secure “well-known” status through a streamlined, non-adversarial administrative process, eliminating the need to prove reputation through costly litigation. This declaration grants inclusion in the official Register for a renewable ten-year term, ensuring broader protection against infringement even across non-competing goods and services.
