John focuses his practice on intellectual property, product registration and regulatory compliance matters for clients across a broad range of industries such as food and beverage, telecommunications, computers and electronics, manufacturing, financial services, pharmaceutical, healthcare and technology.

He has extensive experience in the protection of intellectual property assets, having advised and managed the trademark portfolios of multi-national companies and representing them in criminal and administrative enforcement cases for infringement and unfair competition as an associate of Quisumbing Torres, a member firm of Baker & McKenzie International. He counsels clients on legal strategies related to licensing of intellectual property, technology transfer arrangements as well as issues involving e-commerce, telecommunications, privacy and consumer protection. He also assists clients with respect to local regulatory compliance and provides legal representation and guidance on health-law related matters before the Philippine Food and Drug Adminstration.

Among the significant transactions and projects that John has handled over the years are:

  • MANAGING THE TRADEMARK PORTFOLIO OF A LEADING CULINARY INSTITUTE BASED IN THE NETHERLANDS
